OneNinth was commissioned by IMAX to create a special, customized countdown trailer for the release of “Monk Comes Down the Mountain,”  a spectacular film — directed by Academy Award winner Chen Kaige (Farewell My Concubine) — that premiered this month at the Shanghi Film Festival.  The 3D, CG design intertwines a journey through painterly environments and magical elements from the film, priming IMAX audiences for a cinematic adventure.  With a pending North American release date,  “Monk Comes Down the Mountain” hit theaters across China on July 3rd, taking in over $7 million opening day!
